Update on Clay

Published by Cindi Teasley Brooks January 12, 2024

Update on Clay. Today Clay is going to be checked for heartworms. If positive Dr. Val will start the slow kill treatment. He is losing weight, 28 pounds down to 23 pounds. Dr. Val wants our foster to take him home and see if he will start gaining weight. He is still eating well even after his jaw surgeries. The jaw is doing as well as expected. A third surgery is on the books for more repair work. Our next few weeks are going to be important. Keep this little fighter in your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE: Clay has not lost weight. They do not know if his wiggle wiggle had anything to do with it but when reweighing his is 28 pounds. So that is a relief .
